A little about me...
Hi there, and welcome to my business! I created my first business, Parks and Paws Pet Services LLC and am now onto my second — Choice Dog Training Company! I created these companies to help people and their dogs build real, lasting partnerships rooted in trust, communication, and teamwork.
My background began in working with K9s — a world that taught me structure, discipline, and deep respect for the working dog. But when my own disability progressed, I found myself on the other side of the leash: I needed help. That’s when I turned to my dog, Atlas — and with him, I built my own service dog team.
Through Atlas, I didn’t just learn how to train a service dog — I learned how to live with one. That journey changed everything. It opened the door to training medical and psychiatric service dogs, behavior modification, and supporting others walking the same path I did — with guidance, clarity, and real-life experience.
Over the years, I’ve worked with high-drive sport dogs, bite-risk behavior cases, anxious pets, confident puppies, and fully trained service dog teams. I’ve helped handlers through the hardest days of training — when nothing seems to click — and celebrated the quiet wins that mean everything. My specialty is behavior: understanding what makes a dog tick, and building out a plan that’s effective, ethical, and tailored to the individual dog in front of me.
At Parks and Paws, I use a balanced training method with an emphasis on choice-based learning. I believe dogs thrive when we teach them how to make good decisions instead of controlling every move. Clarity, consistency, and the opportunity to choose builds trust — and trust builds reliability.
Whether you’re training your first service dog, navigating complex behavior challenges, or just want to create a better connection with your pup, I’m here to help you find what works for your life, your goals, and your dog.
